Ozon launches online supermarket in Moscow with quick delivery

MOSCOW, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Internet store Ozon has opened its own online supermarket in Moscow with quick shipping of foodstuff, children’s goods and pharmaceutical products, the company said late Wednesday in a statement.

“Ozon is testing quick delivery of food and homeware in Moscow. The so-called Supermarket has 6,000 items of goods,” a company spokesperson told PRIME.

The seller will expand the assortment to 15,000 items.

Prompt delivery was launched in a trial mode in several districts of Moscow. Express delivery, from 40 minutes, costs 299 rubles and from 2.5 hours costs 149–249 rubles depending on the price of an order.

According to a Data Insight research, foodstuff, medicine, and electronics are the most popular categories of express shipping.
